  • The o-ring is mainly used for static gap sealing of fluids (such as water, oil, air chemical solvents, chemicals,etc.). The long-term using in the temperature between -60 and 220 degrees,it depends on the material, and the static pressure is less than 20Mpa. Sometimes used for dyamic, dynamic pressures less than 5 MPa, and also used for the semiconductor vacuum seals.

NBR, or nitrile butadiene rubber, is a type of synthetic rubber commonly used for making O-rings. O-rings are circular seals used to prevent the passage of fluids or gases between two mating surfaces. NBR O-rings are favored in various applications due to their excellent resistance to oil, fuel, and other chemicals, making them ideal for automotive, aerospace, and industrial applications.

    Key Characteristics of NBR O-Rings

    1. Chemical Resistance: NBR is particularly resistant to hydrocarbons, making it suitable for applications involving oils and fuels.

    2. Temperature Range: NBR O-rings typically perform well in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 100°C (-40°F to 212°F), with some formulations able to withstand higher temperatures.

    3. Mechanical Properties: NBR has good tensile strength, abrasion resistance, and resilience, which contribute to the durability of O-rings in various environments.

    4. Hardness: NBR O-rings come in various hardness ratings (measured in Shore A durometer), allowing for selection based on the specific application requirements.

    Applications

    ● Automotive: Used in fuel systems, hydraulic systems, and engine components.

    ● Industrial: Found in pumps, valves, and machinery where fluid sealing is necessary.

    ● Aerospace: Utilized in fuel systems and hydraulic applications due to their resistance to aviation fuels.

    Considerations

When selecting NBR O-rings, it is essential to consider factors such as the specific chemical exposure, temperature, pressure conditions, and the physical dimensions required for the application to ensure a proper seal and longevity of the O-ring.
